The Head of State has been continuing since Tuesday, May 30, 2023, his Republican tour in the Estuary province of Gabon.
In the commune of Akanda where the Head of State Ali Bongo began his visit on Tuesday, he met the heads of neighborhoods and notables with whom he exchanged on several points. He told residents that: “The municipality of Akanda must reflect the inhabitants of the Estuary, because it is the capital of this province”. These inhabitants meanwhile did not fail to make their complaints to the Head of State.
This is the case of the traditional king, commonly known as “Ta Nkobouet Marcel”, representative of the Benga community, who welcomed the actions carried out by the Head of State in their commune. In particular the rehabilitation of the Libreville-Cap Estérias road, the construction of numerous colleges, particularly that of Cap Estérias. In the same vein, he expressed the concerns of the people of Cape Esterias. “These are the land plans that disturb the tranquility of the indigenous populations, and the devastation of the mangroves dear to your policy of preserving the environment (…)” we learn through the site of the Gabonese Press Agency.
After his visit to Akanda, the Head of State followed by the Prime Minister went to Owendo where they also followed the grievances of the populations. Recall that the Head of State visited construction sites in Akanda and did not fail to remind the people of his commitment to continue the development of this town located north of Libreville.
