Gabonese Prime Minister, Raymond Ndong Sima.
Libreville, December 4, 2023 (AGP) – Prime Minister Raymond Ndong Sima revealed, Sunday in Libreville, the existence of a network of fraudsters at the Ministry of the Civil Service, during an interview he had with the national press.
According to the Head of the Gabonese government, this network made it possible to fraudulently integrate 5,000 people into the group of sectors which were exclusively authorized to recruit during the recruitment freeze.
«There is a problem in the Civil Service. Indeed, how can you explain that there are five thousand recruitments in unauthorized areas out of twelve thousand?“, he asked himself. “There are abnormally unreasonable situations in the Civil Service. We have public agents in payment, who do not have service connections, agents whose “certificates of taking up service are signed on the same day as the blue forms,” he said.
«There is a huge mess that we discovered at the Ministry of Civil Service. This suited some people because as soon as the minister began to touch on this situation, there was an outcry with agitations coming from all sides. We receive an incredible number of questions, with the aim of drowning out the problem”he said.
In addition to the Civil Service Ministry, Raymond Ndong Sima also pointed the finger at the Housing Ministry.
«At the Ministry of Housing, even if someone is a genius, it takes time to understand what happened and then in many cases, the people who were guilty of this situation or complicit in this situation. operation are in the house“, he observed. Not without indicating that the perpetrators of said fraud will be subject to legal proceedings.
«In these two ministries, the people who are at the origin of these frauds are present. We will take the time necessary to highlight fraud. And the perpetrators will be prosecuted“, he reassured.
The interview with the Prime Minister given to the press was an opportunity to enlighten public opinion on the implementation of his roadmap, since his appointment and that of the Transitional government he leads, last September.
