With the three goals scored in Flamengo’s 5-0 victory over Bahia, on Sunday, in Salvador, Gabigol passed Bebeto and is the second player with the most goals for the club in Brazilians – 42, only behind Zico, who has 135. He follows the path of trying to reach another record: being the youngest to reach 100 goals at the Brazilian Nationals.

For Santos, the forward also scored 42 goals. In total it has 84. So it needs 16 more to reach the mark. The current owner of first place is Roberto Dinamite, who scored 100 goals in the competition when he was 26 years old (check out the full ranking below).

Gabigol is 24 years old and turns 25 on August 30th. Due to the recent calls for the Brazilian team, he only made his debut for Flamengo in the Brazilian Nationals in the 12th round. As the team had the games against Grêmio and Athletico postponed, it will still make 28 more matches in the competition.
