The Brazilian is already one of the top scorers in the tournament
Brazilian striker Gabriel Barbosa, better known as ‘Gabigol‘ has inscribed his name on the list of top scorers in the Copa Libertadores.
‘Gabigol’ scored the goal that opened the scoreboard in the duel of the fourth date against Ñublense, a club that surprised at the end by getting the tie with the goal scored by Jorge Henriquez Neira 18 minutes from the end.
With the goal achieved, Gabriel Barbosa he reached 31 goals in the most important club tournament on the American continent, becoming the fourth top scorer in the history of the tournament.
With 31 goals, he equaled the mark of Argentine Daniel Onega. Ahead are still the Uruguayans Pedro Rocha and Fernando Morena with 36 and 37 goals respectively and the Ecuadorian Alberto Spencer who still holds the first place with 54 annotations.
The score became the first that he has achieved from outside the area and confirmed him as the maximum brazilian goalscorer in the history of the competition.
