New start for gymnastics coach Frehse: This is her new life in Linz
After years of controversy in Chemnitz, Gabi Frehse has a new job: national coach in Austria. She is now happy there again, but also misses something very elementary – an on-site visit to Linz.

Linz. The praise follows promptly. “You did well,” says Gabi Frehse to a young gymnast and then sends another request: “Now stand in a corner, close your eyes and visualize this beam exercise. That was one of your best exercises.” The teenager takes a few steps, lingers in a corner for a few seconds and comes back with a smile.
