The team of lawyers hired by the television presenter Night Desangles and her husband Joseph Chabebe affirmed this Sunday that the tracking of the defamatory publications made against the couple has already been carried out to proceed to take legal action, after the media affirm that the couple is divorcing and attributing infidelity to her.
“The tracking of the publications has already been carried out, as well as the users whose comments were active in the generation of the indicated list. Deleting a defamatory publication could be assumed as a recommended sign of good faith,” said lawyer José Martínez Brito, who, together with Okensy Contreras, is in charge of the case.
He clarified that the law to be applied is 53-07 on High Technology Crimes and Offenses, an infraction that does lead to imprisonment if proven and knowledge of a coercive measure prior to the process.
“The center of a criminal action for defamation in electronic media would be the generation of a false and morbid list with the express intention of damaging reputations and profiting economically through monetization,” he explained.
Martínez Brito added that the generators of said content for profit “will be called to examine the veracity of said information.”
