After Gabby Petito was found dead in Grand-Tenton National Park on September 19, special discoveries were made at the scene.
The TV channel KSL-TV filmed according to Fox 8 from a helicopter after the New York woman was found, and according to the channel, there were a pair of hiking boots next to the body.
It is not known who the shoes belong to and the police have been very sparing with the details from the scene.
The clip, which has not been published, has been analyzed by the experienced, and now retired, public prosecutor Kurt Morgan.
No attempt was made to bury the body – which according to him may indicate that the perpetrator had a very bad time.
Morgan believes the shoe discovery confirms this.
– This was done quickly. There was no question of sitting there for five or six hours while trying to figure out how to hide a criminal act, he says to KSL-TV.

No sign of struggle
According to police, Gabby Petito’s girlfriend Brian Laundrie (23) is a “person of interest”, and has been missing without a trace since mid-September.
This summer, the couple was on a US vacation in Petito’s white van, but Laundrie came home alone and would not answer where her boyfriend was.
During the trip, they were stopped by police in Moab, Utah after that an eyewitness called the emergency number and told of a man who was physically against a woman.
Everything was filmed by police body cameras.
Petito told police that Laundrie had slapped her in the face and that she was attacking him.
– He beat you, the police officer asked.
– I believe it, I believe it, yes, but I beat him first, Petito replied.

No sign of struggle
The retired public prosecutor says that it is unusual that there was no sign of a fight at the scene.
– One of the things about this case is that it was a story that they started arguing and that she attacked him, he says, and continues:
– I do not see this here. All I see is an individual who has been injured and that there is no sign that she did any harm, he says.
Reveals heartbreaking detail before the murder
On Tuesday, forensic pathologist Brent Blue announced that Gabby Petito was strangled to death.
“It was a murder,” said the medical examiner.
When asked if it was her boyfriend Brian Laundrie who strangled her, Blue answered this:
– You have to ask the police about that, it is your responsibility to find out.
