Gabbert: Similarities between Tom Brady and Patrick Mahomes revealed in new interview

Quarterback Blaine Gabbert served as Tom Brady’s backup for the Tampa Bay Buccaneers for three years. After the superstar said goodbye to NFL retirement, his replacement also moved on.

In April, Gabbert signed with the Kansas City Chiefs to support two-time Super Bowl winner Patrick Mahomes.

After only a few weeks of working together, Gabbert already sees great parallels between Brady and Mahomes. So both are unique in working hard on themselves to do everything right in the offseason.

Gabbert: Brady and Mahomes are very similar

“They are crazy perfectionists,” he told US journalists. “And I mean that in the most endearing way possible. In my opinion, they’re the best two that have ever played.”

And further: “If you see the similarities, how they work in the briefing room and on the training pitch. As we all know, they are completely different players, but the way they approach the game, on and off the pitch, is exactly the same.”

Gabbert is heading into his 13th season in the NFL. The Chiefs are already his sixth team.
