Details: The G7 repeated its call on third parties to immediately stop providing material support for Russia’s “illegal and unjustified aggressive war against Ukraine.”
“We are extremely concerned by reports that Iran is considering transferring ballistic missiles and related technologies to Russia after it supplied the Russian regime with drones used in ongoing attacks on civilians in Ukraine,” the statement said.
The G7 has indicated that the supply of Iranian ballistic missiles to Russia will increase regional destabilization and represent a significant escalation of Tehran’s support for the war in Ukraine.
“If Iran decides to provide ballistic missiles or related technology to Russia, we are prepared to respond quickly and in a coordinated manner, including through new and significant measures against Iran,” the statement concluded.
