The author stated that this is not an iced latte prepared by the traditional Vietnamese method (the traditional method of preparation using the stainless steel filter, called “cafe phin”) that the commonly found in Garden Grove or Westminster, California (an area populated by Vietnamese), but it’s a rough, strong, full-bodied version of the bitter flavor typical of Robusta coffee beans from Vietnam, the world’s largest coffee producer.
