The G7 countries are considering whether to impose an almost total ban on exports to Russia, Japan’s Kyodo news agency reported.
If the G7 countries ban exports to Russia, Moscow will retaliate by ending the Black Sea grain deal, which allows vital grain exports from Ukraine. This was said by the Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and former President of Russia Dmitry Medvedev, Reuters reported.
The agency quoted Medvedev as saying that the ban on the export of goods to Russia by the G-7 countries, if such a decision is approved, will cause retaliatory measures from Moscow and the termination of the grain deal.
The idea of the G-7 countries for a complete ban on the export of goods to our country is of course wonderful in that it also includes the corresponding termination of the import of goods from Russia in the most sensitive categories for the G-7. In this case, for them it will be the end of the grain deal and many other things that they need, Medvedev wrote in “Telegram”.
G7 countries are considering whether to impose a near-total ban on exports to Russia, Japan’s Kyodo news agency reported last week, citing Japanese government sources.
