Representatives of the G-7 countries hope for an early election of the leadership of the SAP and NABU, as well as an early reform of the SBU.
The ambassadors of the G7 countries discussed with President Volodymyr Zelenskyy reforms in Ukraine in 2021 and expressed their expectations for the future. This is stated in the message of the ambassadors, published on Saturday, December 18, in Twitter.
“The ambassadors welcomed the historic 2021 judicial reform legislation and expressed their hope for its full implementation. They look forward to further positive developments in judicial reform in 2022, including a transparent competitive process for new judges of the Constitutional Court,” the statement said.
The G7 ambassadors also welcomed the law on NABU and expressed expectations for the competitive election of its new director and the early completion of the process for selecting the head / head of the SAP.
In addition, representatives of the G7 countries expressed their hope for progress in the reform, which will ensure a transformed, modern SBU.
Recall, the day before Zelensky meets with ambassadors of the G7 and the European Union… During the meeting, special attention was paid to the discussion of the security situation on the borders of Ukraine and the process of peaceful settlement in Donbass.
As reported, this week Zelensky paid a two-day visit to Brussels, where he received participation in the Eastern Partnership Summit and held a number of important meetings.
