G2 Esports vs Mouz: PGL Major Copenhagen Quarter-Final Match Results and Protester Scandal

The last meeting of the quarter-final game in the PGL Major Copenhagen in Counter-Strike 2 was played on Friday evening.

Mouz and last Swedish hope Ludvig “Brollan” Brolin got off to a nightmare start at Inferno, with G2 Esports overwhelming their opposition time and time again.

On his T-side, however, Mouz began to string together several rounds in succession and began the big pick-up that would be required. G2 had to sweat a bit, but was still able to secure the opening map with 13–9.

G2 continued to impress big straight on their T-side at Vertigo, and it wasn’t until the seventh round that Mouz could take his first. However, it was the start of a fine sequence of rounds for Mouz, who saved five before the change of sides.

Stormed the scene

Before the game could continue, the match was suddenly interrupted and the broadcast went into a break without further explanation. According to, among others LTV it concerns protesters who stormed the stage at the Royal arena, while videos show how they are stopped by security guards.

The site also reports that the trophy fell during the scandalous scenes.

Clowns“, writes NIP star Fredrik “Rez” Sterner on X after the event.

After half an hour, the game could finally continue and it was once again G2 Esports who took the lead. Mouz had no answers. G2 won 13–6 and the tournament’s last Swede is thus eliminated, while G2 Esports now face Natus Vincere in the semi-finals.
