According to the industry, G-Dragon’s work ‘Youth is Flower’, which was auctioned at the ‘Contemporary Art Sale’ held at the Seoul Auction Gangnam Center in Sinsa-dong, Seoul on the 29th, was canceled on this day. This is a cancellation at the request of the owner of the work. Galaxy Corporation, G-Dragon’s agency, said, “After checking with the artist, it was not he who submitted the work to the auction. The artist has no knowledge of who submitted the work and under what circumstances.”

The work in question is a painting depicting daisy flowers, which symbolize G-Dragon himself, by spraying spray and marker on the steel panel of the inner wall of Untitled (aka GD Cafe) in 2017, when G-Dragon was working as a brand ambassador for Jeju Shinhwa World.

Meanwhile, G-Dragon is an art lover who was once included in the ’50 Notable Collectors’ selected by Art News, a famous American art magazine, in 2019. Recently, Choi Yong-ho, CEO of Galaxy Corporation, personally designed the cover of the February issue of FORTUNE KOREA, the Korean version of the American global economic magazine FORTUNE.
