As already reported, in the short program yesterday Sofya Stepchenko ranked 13th, but our Fyodor Kulish showed the third best result.
2023 European Championships 11th seed Sofia Stepchenko scored 93.78 in today’s long program, the tenth best result among the 34 competitors.
In the sum of both programs, the Japanese Mao Simada won the gold (209.81), the American Elisa Liņa-Greisija earned the silver (176.11), the American Šerija Džana (175.18) got to the third place, while the Latvian athlete (140.01) ranked in the tenth position.
Stepchenko in the long program
on October 7 at 16.14 Ukrainian Fyodors Kuliš (“Kristal Ice”), who made his debut under the Latvian flag this fall, will perform in Yerevan’s long program.
The last time Latvia was on the junior “Grand Prix” podium was in September 2015, when Denis Vasiļjevs won the silver in Toruń.
