René Fyler, former coach of Al-Ahly club, confirmed that the decision to leave the team in early October was correct.
In statements to the Swiss newspaper, Blake, Fyler indicated that he had previously spoken with Christian Gross, the former coach of Zamalek, before assuming the task of coaching Al-Ahly.
Fyler said: “We were very successful with Al-Ahly, but the Corona pandemic bothered me and became worried about my family, I did not see them at the time for several months, I had a penalty clause in my contract and I had to either leave or stay for another year.”
And he continued: “When I saw everything developing around me quickly, I realized that my departure from my family was the right decision, because I missed my family.”
He added: “The ball in Egypt is very emotional and emotional, it is their first sport, before the Corona pandemic and before the deaths that came as a result of the riots, the team had 80,000 fans in the stadium, and after that the number was determined to only 40 thousand.”
And Abizaid: “I was not able to move freely in Egypt, I was isolated and I spend most of the time in the hotel.”
