The Venezuelan Football Federation (FVF) confirmed this Wednesday the end of the contract it had with the absolute coach, the Argentine José Pékermanand also with the member of the coaching staff Pascual Lezcano.

He added that will continue to work to ensure those standards are met“giving the best”, with “professionalism, seriousness and rigor”.
At the moment, the federation did not inform who will be the substitute for Pékerman in the national team, nor did it offer more details about the reason for the contract with the Argentine.
Pékerman arrived at the technical direction of the Venezuelan team on November 30, 2021, replacing Leonardo González, who held the position eight games on an interim basis after the resignation of the Portuguese José Peseiro, who had not received his salary for a year.
During his official presentation, Pékerman assured that the commitment to the Venezuelan team was “total” and said that he hoped to be in charge of Vinotinto during the 2026 World Cup.
The qualification of Vinotinto to a World Cup was the challenge for Pékerman, who leaves the national team with five wins, one draw and four losses in the 10 official matches played since his entry.
