After the cancellation of Sunday’s game between the Prague Lions and the Fehervar Enthroners in the ELF, there were concerns about the future of the franchise. These concerns can now be shelved. The future of the Lions is secured – at least for now.
The Prague Lions can breathe easy.
Game operations in the European League of Football are secured – at least for the 2023 season. This was announced by the ELF and the franchise.

“We are very happy that the owners of the Prague Lions have informed us that the game operation for the current season is secured,” said the ELF in a statement on Twitter.
At the same time, however, the franchise was also made responsible. “The investors and management will revise their structures in the coming days to ensure quality on and off the pitch.” Exactly what that means can only be guessed at. Apparently, however, there will be a change in the leadership of the Czechs.

Prague Lions only started this season
The Prague Lions joined the ELF this year along with five other franchises. In six games so far, the Czechs have lost five.
The game against the Fehervar Enthroners had to be canceled because Czech players apparently refused to play for the team due to lack of payment.
The Leipzig Kings recently had to stop playing for the current season for financial reasons, and the league revoked the license of the Saxons.
