The Future Forum Energy & Climate 2024 will focus on climate protection in municipalities and companies on September 25 and 26 in Kassel. Experts will be available to provide advice.
Municipal climate protection will play a central role again this year at the Future Forum Energy & Climate. According to the Future Forum, the event in Kassel is aimed not only at municipalities but also at companies that want to take the path to climate neutrality. It is aimed specifically at those areas where there is a lack of financial means for effective climate protection measures. The event offers a forum where municipalities and small and medium-sized companies can find out more about the wide range of funding opportunities. Experts will be available at several exhibition stands as part of a trade exhibition.
Around 1,000 energy and climate experts from all over Germany meet at the Energy & Climate Future Forum. The two-day specialist congress, organized by deENet and LEA Hessen, offers a platform for professional exchange, best practice examples and networking. The target audience is small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) as well as decision-makers from municipalities and the energy industry.
The practice-oriented program includes lectures, workshops and panel discussions on topics such as heat planning, financing models and climate communication. An accompanying trade exhibition also provides insights into the solutions offered by over 25 companies, financing partners and other organizations, including contact points for funding advice.

Ranga Yogeshwar is this year’s keynote speaker at the Energy & Climate Future Forum. The physicist is one of Germany’s best-known science journalists and is also active as a book author. At the start of the event on September 25, 2024 in the documenta Hall in Kassel, he will take the congress participants on an inspiring and personal journey into the 22nd century with his lecture “Emil’s World – A Society in Transition”. Using the example of his grandson Emil, Ranga Yogeshwar takes a look at our future society, the transformation process and a new value system associated with it.
