While Argentina was trailing 3-2 until the last moments of the game, they will manage to restore parity, which will lead both teams to penalties. It is at this level that the Argentinians finally took over. Argentina owes this new performance to its goalkeeper Nicolás Sarmiento who was able to save three of the shots of the Brazilian team. In the game, Cristian Borruto, Claudino and Cuzzolino were the three scorers for the Albiceleste.
The foals of Matías Lucuix, during their course, beat Bolivia, Venezuela and Peru. In the final they meet Paraguay who got rid of Colombia with the score of 4 goals to 2.
