Fusia joinery, signed Lorillard, emerges from a long process of research and development. More efficient and more durable, the range offers a complete variety of high-end joinery in mixed wood-aluminum.
Close « embodies a new generation of mixed joinery », the result of two patents dedicated to its design innovations. Thus, its mechanical assembly combines an interior structure in stained or lacquered wood, and exterior aluminum profiles.
One of the particularities of Fusia lies in its modular sash rebate, offering flexibility in the composition of the glazing. This technique allows combinations of glazing with a thickness ranging from 28 mm to 40 mm, paving the way for adaptation of thermal and acoustic performances according to the specific needs of each project.
In fact, its glued laminated wood design guarantees optimal mechanical properties, while the three peripheral joints ensure great sealing and “surpasses” the thermal regulations in force, specifies the group.
“With the project team, we started from the functional specifications to develop a complete system. This research has enabled us to develop a range of joinery combining performance and innovation,” underlines Thibaut Schoutteten, development engineer and project manager within the product, research & development design office of the Lorillard group.
Adapt to all tastes
Its hidden opening design ensures adequate viewing masses, thus creating integration in all spaces. The alignment of the glazing between the fixed and opening parts gives Fusia a harmonious aesthetic.
Indoors, Fusia seduces with its wood, available in oak or sapele. Personalization is in the spotlight with nine stained finishes for oak, and three for exotic wood, as well as twelve opaque lacquered finishes. Outdoors, aluminum gives Fusia a sober and contemporary style. With nineteen colors to choose from and an extensive RAL palette, Fusia adapts to all tastes and architectural styles.
The design and launch of Fusia led to internal transformations within the Lorillard group. An investment plan has been deployed to equip the Molenat industrial site, in Aveyron (12). Every step of the production process, from aluminum processing to assembly, is “ carefully carried out, taking advantage of Molenat’s expertise and production capabilities », concludes the group.
