Fury cut Chisora a third time. After the duel, Usyka provoked: I have already beaten Klitschko

A newcomer among the slammers, performing under the nickname Uncle Pepin, became the Czech champion in slam poetry, that is, in the performance of his own poetic texts, this Saturday in Prague’s crowded MeetFactory. He defeated 11 colleagues who advanced to the finals from the qualifying rounds in 11 cities.

With around ten performances, Strýc Pepin, the winner of the classification round in Ústí nad Labem, is a newcomer to the Czech slammer scene. In the first round he recited a poem about visiting the library and reading the Bible, in the second round he entertained the audience with a satirical text about Václav Havel’s activities on the social platform where he shares photos of him. “I thought it would work in Prague,” said the slamer when asked why he chose these works.

The first national poetry slam championship was held in 2003 at the Olomouc literary festival Poetry Without Borders. The final took place for a long time in the Fléda club in Brno. The slammer competition moved to Prague in 2016. The gala evening at the MeetFactory was moderated by the slammer Anatol Svahilec.
