Last and defeated: There is not much hope left for Greuther Fürth in the Bundesliga. The away points in Frankfurt or Hoffenheim are worth every honor, but they probably come too late.

Sinsheim – The fan curve of SpVgg Greuther Fürth did not look like it was almost certain to be relegated. For minutes, the supporters celebrated their football professionals after a remarkable 0-0 at European contenders TSG 1899 Hoffenheim.
The second Bundesliga relegation of the Franks should have been delayed at most with the point win. Coach Stefan Leitl was happy about the point win and the next clean sheet. He was “satisfied with the performance and satisfied with the point,” said the 44-year-old.
Nine points behind Arminia Bielefeld, eleven points behind Stuttgart and just four games left. After 2012/13, the time of the “Kleeblatt” will expire a second time after only one season in the upper house. Sports director Rachid Azzouzi at least finds comfort in the increase in performance that he observed in the back series. “It’s very, very respectable in the second half of the season. We have to be more effective in the last third, then you can win today,” said Azzouzi on DAZN. You have a “very, very difficult season” behind you.
Fürth’s slight increase comes too late
The 0-0 win at Europa League semi-finalist Eintracht Frankfurt and now the goalless draw in Sinsheim are evidence of an increase, but this comes very late – probably too late. “I’m not entirely dissatisfied. I think we acted as equals. The chances weren’t really great. So I think we don’t take the point undeservedly,” said Leitl. Already on Saturday (3.30 p.m. / Sky) the relegation could also be mathematically perfect, on Sunday one of the two rivals will certainly score in the duel Hertha BSC against Stuttgart. The situation seems relatively hopeless.
Hoffenheim, on the other hand, has lost a lot of ground in the weeks since the 1-1 draw against Bayern Munich. 0:3 in Berlin, 0:3 in Leipzig, plus mistakes in the 1:2 at home against Bochum and now against Fürth. So it will be nothing with Europe for TSG and head coach Sebastian Hoeneß. “It’s not enough, we’re disappointed. We’re missing this goal, we’re missing this one damn goal,” said Hoeneß on Sunday evening, announcing: “We must and will continue.”
Above all, the offensive around Vice World Champion Andrej Kramaric is weakening. Kramaric showed the role known from Zinedine Zidane, but none of the offensive players can really pose a threat at the moment – neither Kramaric nor the dynamic Ihlas Bebou, Christoph Baumgartner or Georginio Rutter. “If you take the two games against Bochum and Fürth, then one goal is simply not enough. This is how this totally disappointing result comes about. It’s just a bit missing up front,” said Hoeneß.
