Johannes Pfeiffer, Head of the Lower Saxony-Bremen Regional Directorate of the Federal Employment Agency: “The structural change has many facets and affects different sectors and regions in Lower Saxony and Bremen. In some areas, the corona pandemic has accelerated the transformation again. We therefore advise and support employees and companies so that employees can continue to work in their company. Companies should therefore now use short-time working for further training in order to cover the need for skilled workers. ”
Employers are supported by the BA with financial grants
The further training is intended to make employees fit for current and future activities.
- The BA can fund the course costs depending on the size of the company as required.
- Currently, the social security contributions for employees are covered during short-time work.
