The Fursty Razorbacks have a special clash on Sunday, May 21. At 3 p.m., the second division team welcomes the Carroll Pioneers to a friendly in Fürstenfeldbruck. Founded in 1846, Carroll University is located in Waukesha, Wisconsin. The Pioneers are currently on an educational trip through Germany and Europe with 130 players, coaches and supervisors.
At the end of their trip, the NCAA team will play a friendly game against the American footballers from Bruck. The Division III team plays in the College Conference of Illinois and Wisconsin (CCIW). “It’s going to be a great event for us. Both for the players and our fans,” said those in charge. “It’s not often that you have the opportunity to compete with an American college. It will be a great and unforgettable experience for everyone involved.”
“We talked to the Pioneers beforehand and clarified the general conditions for the game,” said head coach Lukas Schmid. “We’re looking forward to the challenge and hope to offer our fans a game worth seeing. The role of favorites will rest entirely with our guests. For us it will be the last test before the official start of the season in a week.”
The physical well-being will be taken care of. In addition to the fursty burgers, there is an ice cream truck and a bouncy castle. After all, it should be a one-time event for the whole family.
