With the cancellation of two NAMM Shows and the critical situation regarding Live music, the Furch brand has decided to take the bull not the horns. The Czech brand therefore now adds an anti-bacterial agent to the finish of its satin / open pore sleeves. According to the brand, this agent would minimize the number of harmful microorganisms and provide additional comfort.
This anti-bacterial agent applied by gun to the necks of Furch guitars contains silver nanoparticles which, when in contact with the proteins of microorganisms, destroy them very effectively. Let’s be reassured, the brand claims that this anti-bacterial agent does not contain any allergenic substance. In addition, it insists on increased playing comfort thanks to this new anti-bacterial product.
It is questionable if other manufacturers will follow this process… All Furch guitars bearing serial numbers 95787 and higher will be fitted as standard with this new finishing process.
