Soraya Arnelas has been in charge of casting the votes for Spain in Eurovision and has done so from Benidorm, the place from which the country’s representative in the contest has been chosen for three years.
The singer, who represented Spain in 2009, made headlines moments before the start of the festival by saying that she was not going to display an Extremadura flag, as she had planned, because it has the same colors as that of Palestine and she does not want controversy.
Now, after all the performances, Arnelas has given the results of the popular jury and many on X, formerly Twitter, could not help but notice what was seen behind it.
The artist entered live from Benidorm’s Levante beach and just behind it you could see an immense Spanish flag formed by the lights of a hotel in the Rincón de Loix area.
“I feel like going to that hotel,” they said on Elon Musk’s social network when they saw the facade of the four-star Nereo hotel.
