“It is the wish of the family and the partner of Peter R. de Vries that everyone for whom Peter has meant something, is given the opportunity to say a final goodbye,” writes. RTL in a press release. Therefore, anyone who wants to say goodbye to the crime reporter can drop by the theater on Wednesday. Since large crowds are taken into account, everyone is requested to keep the goodbye at the bier as short as possible. This way as many people as possible get the chance to pay him their last respects.

‘Brutal violence always points to a disruption of power relations’

Every effort is being made to make this happen safely and respectfully, says RTL. People who want to come by do not have to show a negative corona test or vaccination proof, but they are asked to observe one and a half meters away. Visitors may also have to take into account long waiting times.

The family asks people to make a donation to the Golden Tip Foundation instead of bringing flowers. This fundraising campaign for the golden tip in Tanja Groen’s disappearance case was set up by De Vries.
