Funeral Announcement: Last Goodbye to Emil Boev – Missing Festival-Goer

Relatives and friends will say their last goodbye to Emil Boev on June 17, Saturday. This was announced on social networks by Martin Boev – the brother of the young man who was searched for 2 months after he disappeared during the “Surva” festival in Pernik.

Relatives of Emil Boev organized a large-scale operation to search for him, but it was unsuccessful. His family announced a cash reward of 100,000 BGN for whoever finds him alive.

He was last seen alive near his vehicle where he left his phone with no battery. He was found to have got out of his car and walked towards the outskirts in Pernik.

“We managed to get Emil today from Pernik. I am writing to tell you that the funeral will be this Saturday (17.06) – we will gather at 11:30 in front of the Assumption Church at the Central Sofia Cemetery. I apologize for the late notice, but until the end it was not known when we would be able to get it,” Martin Boev shared today.

The body of the missing Emil Boev was found in a lake in the Bela Voda neighborhood of Perni at the end of March. After that, it took time for DNA testing, forensics and autopsy results to come out.
