The family of 53-year-old Eric Jensen announced a fundraiser for his treatment.
American actor Eric Jensenwho gained popularity after starring in the TV series “the walking Dead” and “House of cards“, was diagnosed with stage four colon cancer.
The disease metastasized to the liver. According to doctors, Jensen will have to undergo chemotherapy and undergo several operations. This gives hope that the actor will be able to recover. The celebrity’s wife opened a fundraiser on the crowdfunding platform GoFundMe with a comprehensive certificate of the patient’s condition. This contributed to the spread of news about a complex illness on the Internet. The current announced fundraising amount is $300,000.
In a statement, the family said that despite great difficulties, Erik Jensen has not given up hope of beating cancer. He still works full-time, writes scripts and makes films to improve the family’s financial situation, provide himself with proper treatment and “make this world a better place”:
“The cancer has metastasized to the liver, but Eric is young and resilient (what is the cost of filming a film during chemotherapy and working full time with the duties of a screenwriter and director). Doctors’ goal is to reduce the number of tumors, and in two operations he will completely get rid of them. He “Eric is incredibly courageous and resilient. Eric is a fighter. We believe he will get through this and will continue to create and help his community for many years to come,” the family said in a statement on GoFundMe.
Note that in 2022, Erik Jensen overcame a brain aneurysm. As the actor himself said then, after such an illness, as a rule, 50% of patients die.
