Fundraiser by Bas Kleverlaan: Supplement Income for bowel cancer

I am bass. I work as an independent animator and illustrator. I am divorced and have 2 children. In April I was diagnosed with colon cancer with metastases in the liver. I have now had 5.5 weeks of chemotherapy and radiation and 2 metastases have been treated. Now I am strengthening for the last surgery of the tumor in my colon, which will take place at the end of September. So far the treatment has worked well and I am mainly tired, have pain and suffer from chemo brain; poor concentration. Oh and I only eat liquid, yuck…

I have an AOV. Because I also have type 1 diabetes, the premium for this is quite high, so it is minimal. The benefit is around the social assistance level and will only be paid out for the first time after 3 months. This certainly does not cover the costs for my business operations. In addition, I have been ill for some time without knowing it (probably already 8 years+). That and the impact of the corona pandemic have exhausted my reserves. I expect I’ll be fine with the healing process for the rest of the year.

I therefore ask for a contribution to my annual income.
