Funding for school promised – Gutach im Breisgau

Announcements in the municipal council.

(BZ). In the most recent meeting of the municipal council, Mayor Urban Singler initially had several things to announce in the first item on the agenda.

At the end of July, the municipality received the approval notification from the Jülich Research Center, commissioned by the Federal Ministry of Economics, for the “Innovative electricity and heating concept” project in the Zweälerland primary school. The funding commitment of 798,000 euros extends over the period from 2020 to 2024. There was a further commitment of funding for the fire service; 450,000 euros were approved from the state’s compensation stock.

Singler also announced several facts about ongoing projects. For example, a Karlsruhe institute carried out so-called Rodon measurements in the municipality’s own residential buildings for the safety of tenants. Fortunately, the limit values were not exceeded.

Measurements are also taken in the municipality’s “vaulted cellar”, an old ice cellar. The Technology Geophysical Institute from Karlsruhe has set up an earthquake measuring station there.

In the meantime, the main water pipe of the community has been laid in a protective pipe under the railway overpass in the center of the village, which is being renovated. The overpass was also equipped with empty conduits for DSL. The connection of three properties in Bleibach and two in Siegelau to the public water supply was viewed as positive. In addition, the mayor promptly announced a concept coordinated with the Zweälerland Tourismus Gesellschaft for the area of the “Ölberg” water treading facility, which is to be redesigned in 2021.
