The spokesperson of the Government, Mihai Constantin, claims that there are sufficient funds for running the programs for cancer patients.
Moreover, in the last meeting, the Executive completed the normative act regarding the National Plan to Combat Cancer.
“It’s a shame to peddle unverified information in the public space that can create absolutely unwanted social reactions. There are funds”said Mihai Constantin – the spokesperson of the Government.
“The government also completed the legislative package for preventing, combating and treating cancer to standardize medical practice in the Romanian health system”Mihai Constantin also said.

The president of the Federation of Associations of Cancer Patients – Cezar Irimia – says, however, that the provision of treatments may be interrupted in the medical centers, given that some are left without contracts, and the budget for national programs would be insufficient.
“We live at the mercy of those who produce those drugs when they keep giving them to us. But for how long? Because they have a business to maintain”said the president of the Federation of Associations of Cancer Patients – Cezar Irimia.
