Municipal and private music schools dependent on non-profit institutions will be able to access aid of up to €9,000 to finance their activity. The Xunta has just published this call in the Official Gazette of Galicia, endowed with €265,000, to contribute to the operation of these centers throughout the year 2023.
Music schools included in the Register of Community Music and Dance Schools that depend on non-profit institutions will be able to access these subsidies. Likewise, the aid for public music schools, dependent on the municipalities and that are included in the aforementioned registry.
The deadline for submitting applications will be open until July 7 and applications must be submitted electronically and through the standard forms available at the headquarters electronics of the Xunta de Galicia.
The objective of this call is to promote the operation of centers that teach non-regulated music education, aimed at the general public, and provide support to initiatives for the promotion, dissemination and extension of these teachings by both municipalities and of non-profit entities that have musical training as one of their goals.
It should be noted that these centers are dedicated to the training of amateurs and the preparation of entrance exams for studies leading to the qualification of those people who have a vocation and aptitude for music. The notable demand for these music courses justifies the growth in the number of centers that teach them and the contribution of the Galician Government to their operation.
