Fundeni Clinical Institute & ARAS Hepatitis Testing Campaign in Câmpina, November 9, 2023

The Fundeni Clinical Institute in partnership with ARAS – the Romanian Anti-AIDS Association is organizing on Thursday, November 9, 2023, in Câmpina, an extensive testing and staging campaign for viral hepatitis B and C. The LIVE(RO)2-SUD Caravan will be at Casa Tineretului, Nicolae Bălcescu Street no. 50, in the time interval 9:00-14:00.

All people who will present themselves at the Caravan will benefit from a rapid test carried out from capillary blood (finger), and for those found positive following the test, venous blood analyzes will be performed to determine the level of viremia and fibroscan plus ultrasound to assess the degree of liver fibrosis .

The investigations will be carried out by a medical team made up of gastroenterologists and medical assistants from the Prevention Center at the Bucharest University Emergency Hospital. All people who will come for testing and all detected patients will benefit from the advice and guidance of the team of the official partner of the LIVE(RO)2-SUD Project, the Romanian Anti-AIDS Association (ARAS).

The campaign is addressed to all people over 18 years of age, regardless of whether or not they are insured through the public health insurance system, residing in Prahova county or in one of the counties covered by the Project, with the exception of pregnant women, who can benefit from these investigations through a specific program.

The only condition is that the people who want the testing or the continuation of the investigations have a valid identity document.

Patients who have already been detected by the family doctors in Prahova County through this Program, but who, for various reasons, did not have the opportunity to continue the specific investigations can come to the caravan directly or by appointment at the phone number 0746.093.634 one of the Prevention Centers within the Fundeni Clinical Institute or the Bucharest University Emergency Hospital.

LIVE(RO)2-SUD project: Regional program for the prevention, screening and diagnosis of patients with chronic liver diseases secondary to hepatitis B/D and C virus infections, through which almost 180,000 people were tested for hepatitis B virus infections /D and C, took place in twelve counties in the area of ​​SUDMUNTENIA and SOUTH-WEST OLTENIA from the beginning of 2021 and is nearing its end.
