Fundación Reina de Quito delivered 284 tablets to students for online education

Today, Wednesday, January 20, 2021, the Reina de Quito Foundation delivered the last package of the 284 tablets to third-year high school students at the educational institution Daniel Enrique Proaño.

The action is part of the campaign ‘Quito Leave Your Footprint for Education‘and addressed teenagers from public colleges. The technological tools were distributed by Estefanía Barreno, Queen of San Francisco de Quito.

Sofia Arteta, director of the Foundation, pointed out that the devices were granted to students who did not have a computer or cell phone to study virtual way.

To choose the students they received help from Ministry of Education. Thus, each one was given the device with an Internet connection chip. Each month, students will have 50 gigabytes to use in their studies.

The necessary resources were also installed in the devices so that they have a connection with the programming of each educational unit. According to Arteta, he took care of that himself Ministry.

Of the 284 tablets30 were destined for users of the therapeutic care center in which children with Down syndrome are cared for.
