Erabaru.net. Police in Santa Marta, Colombia, recently drew criticism for posting wanted posters of suspected cartel members with no photo or real name.
On January 2, the Santa Marta Police Department released a poster of the 12 most wanted criminals in the Colombian city, asking for the public’s help in apprehending the criminal suspects, all members of the “Los Pachenca” drug cartel.
12 people He was also suspected of a series of criminal acts committed in Santa Marta in recent months, so it makes sense to ask the locals for help in catching them as soon as possible. The only problem is that the published posters only mention the nicknames of the suspects, not their real names and the same general graphics where their photos should be…
“It is very important that citizens help us identify people who affect life throughout the city,” the police high command said, adding that “we will provide payment for the data that will allow us to identify them.”

As you can imagine, the police didn’t take too many useful leads, given the dark information on their posters. Not only that, but many people have actually criticized the department for even putting up a poster in the state.
“Hint one: They all look identical,” one person mocked the poster on Twitter.
“This is the investigation agency of the Colombian police. What job! They don’t post photos because then they lose their salary,” wrote another.
“I’ve seen multimillion-dollar contracts coming in for silhouette identification courses in the police force,” one person joked.
The Santa Marta Police Department removed the wanted poster as early tweets taunting him started going viral, but by then the damage was done.(yn)
