The heat was omnipresent during the first two weeks of this new period at the leisure center of the Aigaliers-Baron-Foissac school group. The children, around thirty on average, were welcomed from July 10 to 28.
Their animators, Cathy, Stéphanie, Lucie and Marie had to quickly adapt the day’s program because of the degrees which climbed at high speed outside. Thus, it was necessary to take advantage of the freshness of the mornings to go out into the forest to discover wooden skeletons, to appreciate the sounds of this environment, discover the ladybugs or play football, tennis or ball games.
In the air-conditioned premises, it was then possible to take advantage of a wide range of activities, to create garden fairy costumes, to do a “World tour in 80 pieces of waste” to parody Jules Verne, to create an immense fresco of the setting sun in Japan or making a volcano that has erupted with mandatory water games every afternoon to allow children to cool off.
Fortunately, the last more temperate week allowed beautiful picnics and participation in summer dances. The library space was also opened up so that Claude de l’Aphyllanthe, always faithful to his post, could read some beautiful tales to attentive children.
A comfortable harvest of memories garnered once again, for all the children, and a joie de vivre that reigned supreme thanks to the professionalism, great availability and affection of the facilitators.
