Kastara.ID, Depok – Residents of RW 10 Serua Village, Bojongsari Sub-district carried out fogging or fogging in their area on Sunday (12/21) yesterday. This effort is to eradicate the Aedes Aegypti mosquito that causes dengue fever in the rainy season.
The head of RW 10 Serua, Muhammad Azwar said, fumigation targets places that are breeding grounds for mosquitoes, ranging from waterways, garbage shelters to people’s yards.
“We are not only alert to Covid-19, but also alert to other diseases, one of which is dengue fever,” he said, as published on the Depok City Government’s official website, Monday (12/13).
Azwar said the fumigation was carried out by residents independently. By using one fogging machine and one liter of medicinal liquid.
“The role of residents is also needed in maintaining environmental cleanliness and taking steps to prevent dengue. That is draining water reservoirs and burying items that are no longer used,” he said.
He revealed, currently there are three children infected with dengue in his area. According to him, the three children have received medical treatment.
“Alhamdulillah, we have received treatment from the local health center,” he concluded. (dha)
