Since May 17, the Fumel Vallée du Lot Health Center has opened its doors. The Fumeloise structure has the particularity of bringing together a multi-professional health center (MSP) and an intercommunal health center (CIS).
The MSP brings together health professionals who exercise their activity as a liberal, while the CIS is entirely managed by Fumel – Vallée du Lot with employees. The structure of almost 1,000 square meters is located on Avenue de l’Usine. The health center has mobilized a budget of nearly 2 million euros, including 800,000 in subsidies provided by Europe, the State, the New Aquitaine Region and the Lot-et-Garonne Department. On the health center side, three doctors will set up in mid-June from the Limousines office located in the upper part of Fumel: Doctors Bruchet-Pauliac, Bruchet and Rodolphe. The Gynecologist, Doctor Girard and the Midwife Mrs. Solbes are already in place and have started to consult.
Sébastien Ribeiro, the director general of services (DGS) indicates “that it is possible to welcome other doctors there who would like to settle in Fumélois, Fumel or within one of the other MSP of the territory, in Tournon -d’Agenais, Lacapelle-Biron, Penne-d’Agenais or Saint-Sylvestre-sur-Lot “. The MSP also has a dentist, a nursing practice, a podiatry practice, and a dietitian. “All these health professionals were already present on the Fumélois and to contact them, just call them on their usual telephone numbers which have not been modified” adds Mr. Ribeiro. The intercommunal health center is the great novelty of the cluster. Two dentists and a medical secretary were recruited by the community of communes. “They are being installed as well as the administrative procedures specific to this recruitment. For the dental surgeons, it is Pauline Musqui, originally from Fumélois, and Marine Wiklacz. It is not yet possible to make an appointment. – you but as soon as possible, we will communicate on their telephone number “specifies Mr. Ribeiro. The DGS now wishes to be able to recruit several salaried doctors to strengthen Fumel’s offer and that of other MSPs in the region. “We are mobilized in achieving this objective and a communication plan around medical schools and in specialized journals will be carried out to achieve this” he concludes.
