When the first Russian bombs fell on Ukraine, Europe too was catapulted into a new reality. Since then, a bloody war has been fought just a few hours’ drive from Austria. As a journalist, how do you manage to report comprehensively on the site? How do you manage to remain objective in this war? With the new format of the Kleine Zeitung-Club: “Kleine Zeitung. Behind the lines”. the Kleine Zeitung would like to provide exclusive behind-the-scenes insights. This time we will look at the background of the reporting of the war and how it is conducted in the media. The interlocutors are the foreign correspondent Christian Wehrschütz and Maria Schaunitzer, head of the foreign policy department.
