Full speed when Jämtland’s national day was celebrated in Rissna

Roland Haglund and Lena Furst enjoyed coal buns.

RISSNA (JT) Jämtland’s national day celebration was held at Zenit in Rissna on national day – for the 30th year in a row.

As early as 1994, Bo Lindgren started the celebration and it is he himself who fries the coal balls every year, admittedly with the help of a few more when Jämtland’s national dish coal balls are to be served.

There were about fifty guests who came to partly listen to Gåbban and Vålpen play the Jämtland anthem, but of course coal buns as well as coffee and cake drew everything in the Jämtland flag. Both large and small flags were flown around the entire village hall on each piece of cake.

Two who enjoyed charcoal buns this day were Lena Furst and Roland Haglund from Frösön who made it to Rissna this day. Roland, who grew up in Rissna and who now has a holiday home nearby, does not miss the opportunity when things happen in the village.
