Head of Department for Disease Prevention and Control (P2P Dinkes) Lampura dr. Dian Mauli explained that the highest dengue cases in Lampura occurred in September.

“To date, 139 people have been affected by DHF with 3 deaths. With details, namely, January there were 38 cases, February 10 cases, March 1 case, April no cases, May 7 cases, June 15 cases “1 case in July, 4 cases in August, 47 cases in September, 4 cases in October, 12 cases from November to November 21,” Dian said.

He said his party was trying to prevent the spread of DHF by conducting mapping.

“We are making efforts to prevent it by mapping. For example, in a place where someone is infected with DHF, the house and the neighbors around the house are checked for mosquito larvae and so on,” he said.

He explained, 3M socialization is very important, because people are more inclined to ask for voging, where 3M can kill the spread of mosquito larvae.

“We are conducting socialization to the community to stop the spread of mosquito larvae with 3M. Because most of our people focus on the demand for voging, even if the most appropriate thing is to kill the spread of mosquito larvae. Voging it only kills mosquitoes but does not kill their larvae,” Dian concluded.
