Fujifilm introduced the X100VI camera, which is a direct continuation of the X100V.
The X100VI has a 40-megapixel sensor with an F/2.0 aperture and a focal length of 23 mm. It features built-in 6-stop image stabilization to ensure long-exposure shots remain sharp.
Fujifilm X100VI is powered by the X-5 processor. Thanks to it, the camera works twice as fast as the X100V. This applies not only to the interface, but also to focusing speed.
The camera size, buttons and materials remain virtually unchanged. The aluminum body itself is still shockproof.
Another important change is related to production: the X100VI will be produced in China, while the X100V was assembled in Japan. The company likely expects demand for the X100VI to be as high as the X100V, despite the $1,600 (RUB 148,000) price tag. It’s worth $200
(19 thousand rubles) more than its predecessor.
The Fujifilm X100V came out in 2020 and quickly became popular thanks to TikTok. Users began posting photos and videos on TikTok taken with a Fujifilm mirrorless camera, which also looks like an old camera. As a result, Fujifilm faced a shortage of X100V, and prices on the secondary market doubled. [The Verge]
