Standing in the receiving station and looking up, six huge LNG storage tanks are continuously sent to gas power plants, thousands of households and major industrial users through more than 370 kilometers of pipelines. At the same time, tank trucks transport liquid natural gas to various gas consumption sites, covering more than 30 cities in Fujian, Jiangxi, and Hubei provinces. This “energy granary” located on the shores of Meizhou Bay is the “confidence” of gas-fired power plants, the main force in power peak regulation, and is also the guarantee for millions of families to cook, fry and smoke.
As a key national energy project, Fujian LNG is currently responsible for more than 70% of the province’s natural gas supply tasks. Fujian LNG has exported more than 62 billion cubic meters of natural gas since it was put into operation, providing a stable supply of clean energy to Fujian and surrounding areas, ensuring safe and stable gas use for more than 40 million people, and reducing carbon dioxide emissions by more than 80 million tons.
