Fujairah, September 22nd, WAM / The Emirates Tennis Federation announced the inclusion of the Fujairah Tennis Club in the Future Talents Programme, in appreciation of the efforts it makes in its programs that have contributed to spreading the culture of playing tennis in the Emirates and its role in the development witnessed by the sport of tennis in the world.
The Federation chose the Fujairah Championship, which was held in January 2023, as one of the five most prominent youth tournaments held in Asia and the Middle East region, according to a letter received by the Emirates Tennis Federation. In support of this, the Federation decided to choose the Fujairah Tennis Club to organize the first local tournament with an A classification, on October 27th. The International Tennis Federation also renewed its confidence in Fujairah, one of the main cities in the world that hosts youth tournaments, and granted it the honor of organizing the two youth tournaments that will be held next November and January of 2024, which are considered distinguished achievements and gains.
For his part, Abdul Ghafour Bahrozyan, Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Fujairah Tennis Club, described the gains achieved as high-level, and extended his thanks and appreciation to His Highness Sheikh Hamad bin Mohammed Al Sharqi, Member of the Supreme Council and Ruler of Fujairah, for the continuous support that paved the way for all the club’s sporting, organizational and societal successes.
Bahrozian expressed his happiness to achieve these distinguished gains, stressing that they reflect the technical and organizational value of the club within its efforts to advance the sport of tennis in Fujairah and the Emirates, indicating that it will give the club family greater moral motivation to continue working for greater successes, and he thanked the Board of Directors of the Tennis Federation, headed by Sheikh Hasher Al Maktoum, for the supportive efforts. And the sponsor of the club’s efforts, which led to all the gains achieved.
For her part, Hania Riki, Executive Director of the Fujairah Tennis Club, described the confidence of the UAE and International Tennis Federations in the club’s efforts as an important gain that will be invested for the future to be the backbone of planning for the future for greater work and better achievements. She thanked the club’s management for the directives that paved the way for any gain achieved by the club.
Nasser Yousef Al Marzouqi, Secretary General of the Fujairah Tennis Federation, congratulated the Fujairah Tennis Family on the qualitative leap achieved by the Fujairah Tennis Club, noting that the club constitutes one of the important pillars of tennis in the Emirates and that the federation’s committees will continue their work to support the club’s directions and plans to continue its brilliance.
