Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts Represents UAE in Alexandria International Theater Festival with ‘Shakespearean Diaries’

Alexandria, September 26 / WAM / The UAE, represented by the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, participated in the activities of the 13th session of the Alexandria International Theater Festival, with the theatrical performance “Shakespearean Diaries” as part of the activities in which 14 theatrical performances from 11 Arab and foreign countries participated.
The academy delegation, which was headed by His Excellency Ali Obaid Al-Hafiti, Director General of the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, included artists Saeed Al-Harsh, director of the theatrical show, Ahmed Abdullah Rashid, preparer of the theatrical script, and actors Abdullah Masoud, Mahmoud Al-Qattan, Abdullah Al-Khadeem, and Asma Al-Awfi, in addition to the technical supervisor of the theatrical work, Mohammed. Makki and the participation of composer Osama Ismail and production manager Ali Al Shehhi.
The theatrical performance, Shakespeare’s Diaries, consists of various artistic paintings taken from a group of texts from William Shakespeare’s novels, presented by several characters that mimic our current time and shed light on Shakespeare’s works, accompanied by expressive dance paintings.
His Excellency Ali Obaid Al-Hafiti said: The participation of the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts in art festivals abroad comes within the directives of His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Hamad Al-Sharqi, Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, to represent the UAE and the Emirate of Fujairah in Arab and foreign artistic events, with the aim of communicating our production. Artistic and cultural in a beautiful way, and reflects the upscale image of the UAE.
Al-Hafiti pointed out that the Alexandria International Theater Festival represents a promising opportunity for theater artists participating in the theatrical show “Shakespearean Diaries,” as this participation contributes to learning about theatrical experiences from all countries of the world.
For his part, artist Saeed Al-Harsh, director of the show, stressed the importance of the theatrical show, which received great admiration from the audience in terms of idea, direction and acting, pointing to the importance of the great support provided by the Fujairah Academy of Fine Arts, managed by His Excellency Ali Obaid Al-Hafiti, in providing all the necessary capabilities to support theatrical works and movement.
