Fuel Prices in Bulgaria Hit Lowest Levels Since September: Experts Predict Continued Decrease

The price of the main fuels sold in Bulgaria is the lowest since September, fuelo.net data show.

Thus, the price of the most purchased gasoline – A 95 was BGN 2.88 per liter on September 24, while today it was BGN 2.63 per liter. This means that in three months we have a drop of BGN 0.24 per liter or a decrease of 8.36%.

Diesel has become cheaper by 0.22 cents per liter, which on September 24 was sold at 2.90 lei, compared to 2.63 leva today. This means a decrease for the period of 7.61%.

The lowest price reduction is for gasoline A 100, which for the three months has lost only 13 cents from its price per liter, or the decrease is 4.09%.

The trend for all fuels is towards continued cheaper prices, say experts. According to them, this is related to the drop in the price of oil and the stricter control that the state began to apply to the Lukoil refinery in Burgas.

All this is happening against the background of arguments in the National Assembly regarding the derogation for Russian oil, which our country received more than a year and a half ago. From the first of January, the export of oil derivatives produced from Russian oil is prohibited, and it will be interesting to see how this will affect the prices at gas stations in our country.
