Supporters association De Feijenoorder is committed to finding a good destination for the money from the crowdfunding campaign for Cyriel Dessers. At the initiative of some supporters, money was collected at the beginning of May to keep the striker in De Kuip longer. Now that it has turned out that this was not possible, people are still looking for another way to ensure that the money ends up properly.
The initiators have sought to approach the supporters’ association for this. Now that the initial goal – to retain Dessers longer – has not been successful, the second goal of the action is ‘to do something that is good for Feyenoord’. Because it involves a lot of research, FSV De Feijenoorder is now also involved.
The fact that the amount could not be used for its initial purpose was widely criticized. However, the Feijenoorder ensures that the full amount is still available on the donation page. It is not yet known exactly what will happen with the money, although the association hopes to be able to provide more clarity about this soon.
