Cucumbers, watermelons and lemons fell in price by more than 10 percent on the exchanges in our country during the week, according to the data from the weekly bulletin of the State Commission on Commodity Exchanges and Markets (DKSBT).
The market price index (CPI), which reflects the movement of wholesale food prices in our country, rose by 0.62 percent to 2.124 points during the week. Last week the ITC was at the level of 2,111 points. The base level of the ITC – 1,000 points – is from 2005.
Greenhouse cucumbers fell by 12.3 percent and were traded at BGN 2.49 per kilogram, watermelons by 14.7 percent to BGN 0.50 per kilogram, and lemons by 13 percent to BGN 3.20 per kilogram .
Greenhouse tomatoes are also down by 2.3 percent to BGN 3.11 per kilogram. The price of green and red peppers increased – by 2.2 percent and by 0.3 percent and are traded at BGN 1.85 per kilogram and BGN 2.13 per kilogram. The price of potatoes is also rising – by 3.4 percent to BGN 1.20 per kilogram.
Carrots are cheaper by 2.2 percent and fall to BGN 1.13 per kilogram, and cabbage by 1.8 percent and are available at BGN 1.07 per kilogram. Ripe onions rose in price by 2 percent to BGN 1.13 per kilogram.
The price of bananas increased by 1 percent to BGN 2.74 per kilogram. Grapes are more expensive by 3.8 percent and are traded at BGN 2.44 per kilogram. Apples and melons saw a drop – by 8.2 percent to BGN 1.57 per kilogram and by 0.3 percent to BGN 1.27 per kilogram.
The price of cow’s cheese fell by 0.8 percent to BGN 11.23 per kilogram, and that of “Vitosha” yellow cheese went up by 1.4 percent to BGN 16.84 per kilogram.
Yogurt (3 and over 3 percent fat content) becomes cheaper by 2.3 percent and is bought at BGN 1.25 for a 400 g bucket, and fresh milk (3 percent fat content) – by 1.6 percent to 2. BGN 28 per liter.
The price of chicken meat rises by 1.6 percent to BGN 6.36 per kilogram, and eggs (size M) by 3.2 percent to BGN 0.32 per piece wholesale.
Rice became cheaper by a minimum of 0.5 percent to BGN 3.37 per kilogram, and ripe beans by 1.1 percent to BGN 4.30 per kilogram. Lentils are more expensive by 1 percent and are BGN 4.43 per kilogram.
Sugar became cheaper by 0.1 percent and was traded at BGN 1.96 per kilogram. The price of type 500 flour is increasing – by 2.7 percent to BGN 1.35 per kilogram, oil – by 2.5 percent to BGN 2.89 per liter, cow butter (125 gram package) – by 2.1 percent up to BGN 2.90 per piece.
